"Something like this has happened at our funeral home in the past, but it's pretty rare. I don't know what the person's relation to (Tournear) was, but the person was adamant that they remain anonymous."Tournear's three children, Cory Earnst, Kaylamarie Tournear and Ronnie Tournear, were amazed when they heard the news from the funeral home. The family originally had set up a GoFundMe account and collected about $300 by the time they learned of the generous donation."I am at a loss for words," Kaylamarie Tournear said with tears in her eyes.Laura Tournear's sister-in-law, Leanne Hively-Tournear, was in disbelief, as well."My family and Laura's family have been friends since before Laura and I were born. Laura was five years older than I am, but we did almost everything together as teenagers," Hively-Tournear said. "We were raised to never turn anyone away. She would give her last few pennies to help another person. Laura had a heart of gold. You did not have to be blood related to be her family. The person or persons who have donated the funds to give her a great service speaks on how golden her heart was."She added that the donation allows Laura's children to not have to worry about money and instead honor and grieve for their mother."Laura lived and breathed for her babies even though they are now adults," Hively-Tournear said. "When we had our first babies, we made a pact to always be there for them to make sure they were always OK if something like this ever happened. Her kids want to send their thanks to the donor and let them know they wholeheartedly can't thank them enough."Funeral services for Laura Tournear will be hel... (Herald-Whig)
